This Web Site was created to share my dream of owning my own boat.  Water has always been a driving influence in my life.  Growing up on an inland lake and spending my summers on lake Michigan formed a bond between the water and me.  Over a decade passed before I discovered Lake St. Clair. Xspence now serves as my summer cottage of sorts on this lake.  I wanted a place to share the pictures and the hard work that has gone into Xspence and a chance for all of you to get to know her.  Xspence is a 1976 32' Marinette Flybridge Sedan.  It has changed the way I live my life.  My winters are spent dreaming of long hot summer days on the lake, planning the next big face lift on the boat.  My summers are spent enjoying every aspect of being on the water. 

The name is fitting as my name is Spencer and as any boat owner will tell you the definition of boat is: a huge hole in the water into which you throw money.  The lifestyle that boating provides really offsets the costs.  There is nothing like life on the water.  Naming the boat was definately the hardest part.  Several options were floated past my closest friends and Xspence seemed to be the most popular.  After several years of ownership, it also seems to be the most appropriate! 

The Crows Nest is a Bulletin Board where you all can post all of your Lake and Boat related stuff.
